New Leeds Housing Projects Underway
Two new schemes to deliver new homes in Leeds are underway, with both projects expected to be completed within 35 weeks.
BQ Live reported on the projects being led by Esh Group, which will deliver eight two-bedroom homes in Bramley for Connect Housing Association, as well as six properties for Unity Housing.
According to the news provider, the schemes are worth £2.7 million and will provide much-needed new homes in the city.
Chief executive at Esh Group Andy Radcliffe told the website that they are proud to be supporting “two leading social housing providers” through these projects.
“Leeds is a thriving city that is growing and needs new good-quality housing to meet demand,” he added.
The Yorkshire Evening Post recently revealed that a much larger housing project could get started in the coming year, after the plans to construct up to 72 new homes on the former Civil Service Sports Association Ground in Potternewton were given provisional approval.
For full planning permission to be granted, certain conditions will need to be met by developer Rahon Property Ltd, including the provision of five affordable housing units and for green space to be included on the site.
The company will also have to make a contribution of £!75,000 to compensate for the loss of a sports pitch for the community.
